Honestly this is such a great show!! I absolutely love it!! The only problem is that it's been canceled. I know it sucks, but if you have Netflix or the money to buy the DVD set, do it. Honestly it's that good.

I watched the first episode of Pushing Daisies, and the series starts out with the main character as a little boy. His dog gets hit by a car and that's when he learns that when he touches something that is dead he can bring it back to life. So he goes home with his live dog and his mom is baking him a pie, and she has a brain aneurysm and dies. So he touches her and brings her back to life, this is when he learns the first rule of his gift. If he brings something back to life and keeps it alive for more than 1 minute, something or someone else within proximity of him dies. So his mom is nice and alive and he looks across the street and the man who lives across from them dies, unfortunately for him the man who died is the father of his crush.
So the little boy is majorly depressed and his mom gives him a kiss goodnight. That's when he learns the second rule of his gift/curse he can't touch something he's brought back from the dead, or it dies again...permanently.
So he grows up and becomes a pie maker and has a part time job which involves him bringing murder victims back from the dead and asking who murdered and collecting the reward. This is when he's called to solve Chuck's murder (the little girl whom he had a crush on). He realizes that he still loves her and keeps her alive, but of course he can never touch her again.
So basically the show is centered around the fact that they love each other and can never touch, and the fact that Chuck never saw her murderer, so they're constantly trying to figure out "who done it".
This honestly is my all-time favorite show. I legit cried when I heard they canceled it. I vote we Netflix some seasons and have a marathon!
ReplyDeletei remember when this show came out!
ReplyDeleteis netflix expensive? like how does it work. i don't understand haha
have you seen that show pretty little liars?
I've always wanted to see it! So when i saw it on Netflix I was sooo excited!!! We should definitely do a marathon!! :D
ReplyDeleteAnita: 1. Idk how you do this, but today at approximately 11 a.m. I recorded the pretty liars series because i wanted to write about it next tuesday lolol it used to be a book.
2. Netflix is simple you register for it, and it's about 14$ a month. you go online to their store thing and put movies you want to see on a list. they send you 2 at a time. when you're done you throw them in the mailbox and in 2 days you have the next one on your list.
I watch a lot of the movies etc. straight from the website, but there isn't a wide range of movies etc. when you're watching it that way.
ohhh okay i get it, we still have that roommate telepathy lmaoo. the shows pretty good, i hate how the kinda stole the texting thing from gossip girl but other than that i like it.
