Modern Family

So I've heard many great things about this show since it's debut. It was even nominated for 14 emmy's, which is incredibly impressive. So I decided to watch it, the episode I saw was focused around a family portrait. The mother of one of the families is very controlling and tried to plan every single detail. This show is a comedy so the plot doesn't really matter so I'll just stop there. The show was good, I'm not completely in love with it but I wouldn't change the channel if it came on either. It's an okay show I think you should all go watch an episode and see how you feel about it. If you disagree with my review let me know, and tell me why I should give this show another shot. :]

Fressh Kidd

Mother effin Fressh Kidd just as* raped everything I thought I knew about great music.

But seriously I think I may have like some sort of weird connection with artists who incorporate the word kid into their names.

No, really really he's pretty damn awesome. He's the creator of the song that's playing under my song of the week box [Discover Me ft. Mickey French]. I'm seriously in love with this song and I'm listening to it on replay as I write this.
Ok so a little background info on Fressh Kidd? Well there isn't actually much on him, he's pretty damn new. Now he's not new to the music game, but he's definitely up and coming and there haven't been too many interviews and not even a wiki page. He has released a mixtape called: Spaceship Ape. I suggest you all go download it immediately :] Discover Me is available on iTunes, so if you love the song and think that it's one of the greatest songs ever AND want to show Fressh Kidd a little financial support then go download it :]

Anywho I expect Fressh Kidd to do a lot in the near future, because I can't see this song going unnoticed for much longer.

I'm Back!!

Hey guys! So I'm officially back from my mini vacay in Virginia and it was a TON of fun! I'm [as bad as this sounds] really sad to be back home! I really miss my boyfriend already, and the weather down there was pretty much the shit. It reminded me of the mother land [p.s. i was born in jamaica, so that's the mother land lol].

I did a couple of posts while I was in Virginia, but for the most part I just chilled, so I'm going to have a sh*t load of new posts coming within the next day or two. They won't really be in order i.e. Tele Tuesday etc. I'm just going to do reviews/talk about things that I saw/experienced during the 10 days I was away.

Inception. :]

Ok so I had the opportunity, due to my awesome boyfriend, to view the midnight premiere of Inception. It was the most mind blowing movie experience I've had in forever!!! I highly highly recommend this movie! It was directed by Christopher Nolan who also directed The Dark Knight. Leonardo DiCaprio, Ellen Paige, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, did not disappoint. They were amazing, this movie is amazing. Go into it with a very open mind, don't try to figure out everything right away because believe me if you do, this movie is going to bitch slap you and make you feel incredibly stupid. lolol Honestly I was really hype about seeing this movie, and it did NOT disappoint. Go see it! Do it.

George Steinbrenner

George Steinbrenner, owner of the major league baseball team the New York Yankees, has died today at the age of 80. He suffered a heart attack and was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, FL., and was declared dead at 6:30 am.
He was known by all who worked with him and loved him as "The Boss" due to the way he handled the Yankees franchise.
"He was a visionary and a giant in the world of sports. He took a great but struggling franchise and turned it into a champion again." said a representative of the Steinbrenner family.
George STeinbrenner was a hardworking man, and will be missed by very many people.

Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh, and Lebron James Together in Miami

Last Thursday just a couple days after Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh made the decision to play for the Miami Heat, Lebron James, during an hour long tv special announced to the world that he would be joining them.
James and Bosh both signed contracts worth $110.1 million, while Wades contract is worth only $107.5 million. Although the players contracts are worth less than expected it does come with a loop hole; all three contracts have an early termination option which would allow Lebron, Chris, and Dwyane to be free agents in 2014.
The trio are confident in their decision and are extremely optimistic about the upcoming season.
"It's still surreal, man," Wade said. "Me, Chris and 'Bron. We ready. We want to go to the gym now."
Miami fans are more than ready to see their new dream team in action. We'll all have to just wait and see if this dream team will be able to deliver.

Ok so I'm here in my bf's summer apartment and he's at work so i've decided to do a few posts!!

So I heard this song for the first time last week on the radio, and I just saw the video this morning. I don't think that the video necessarily went along with the song, but I guess it was somewhat entertaining. Enrique Iglesias "I Like It" features the cast members of The Jersey Shore. In the video all the members are playing their part in order to sneak into Enriques concert. If you're a fan of the Jersey Shore then you will most likely find the video to be cute. I'm not the biggest fan, but I'm here just to share :]

hiatus!!

Hey all! I am on my way to virginia. I'm actually at the airport in philly right now waiting for mu next flight lol. I'm going to be away from reliable internet for a while so I probably won't be doing another post until after th 20th. But I promiseeee to crime back with a boat load of random information and pics from my vacation :) for those of you who will be in state college this weekend, i hope you have a great time at artfest!!!

It has happened!

The dominoes have fallen, Dwyane Wade has decided to stay in Miami and Chris Bosh has made the decision to play there as well. If Lebron joins them the Miami Heat will be unstoppable, and the lure of a championship ring just may sway Lebron's decision.

We're all still waiting for Lebron's decision.

So this is just one of my random posts :D just because i have a schedule doesn't mean that i won't continue to do random posts about things that i've observed or even just random thoughts about my life, so here we go.

Jola - She Say
i kinda sorta loveee this song. Jola is the artist and he's pretty much about not being extremely gangster. This is something I really respect about him. Now i'm not saying that i don't like "g" rappers...well i don't, but i respect what they do and that they're making a ridiculous amount of money doing it. But I respect Jola because he's not pretending to be something he's not. He attended private school, which is clearly a far cry from the extra gangster hustle hustle life.

His music/mixtape is pretty much all about being a rapper and being raised in the suburbs and embracing the fact that he is who he is because of it...and he STILL has swag lol. So that's why I love him and his movement iRep the trunk.
I don't want to further influence anyone's opinion on him so here's his college like anthem She Say.

Tele Tuesday!

Hey All!! It's Tuesday so that means it's time for me to do a review on a show that I've seen recently. Today's Tele Tuesday is on the show...PUSHING DAISIES!!!
Honestly this is such a great show!! I absolutely love it!! The only problem is that it's been canceled. I know it sucks, but if you have Netflix or the money to buy the DVD set, do it. Honestly it's that good.



I watched the first episode of Pushing Daisies, and the series starts out with the main character as a little boy. His dog gets hit by a car and that's when he learns that when he touches something that is dead he can bring it back to life. So he goes home with his live dog and his mom is baking him a pie, and she has a brain aneurysm and dies. So he touches her and brings her back to life, this is when he learns the first rule of his gift. If he brings something back to life and keeps it alive for more than 1 minute, something or someone else within proximity of him dies. So his mom is nice and alive and he looks across the street and the man who lives across from them dies, unfortunately for him the man who died is the father of his crush.

So the little boy is majorly depressed and his mom gives him a kiss goodnight. That's when he learns the second rule of his gift/curse he can't touch something he's brought back from the dead, or it dies again...permanently.
So he grows up and becomes a pie maker and has a part time job which involves him bringing murder victims back from the dead and asking who murdered and collecting the reward. This is when he's called to solve Chuck's murder (the little girl whom he had a crush on). He realizes that he still loves her and keeps her alive, but of course he can never touch her again.

So basically the show is centered around the fact that they love each other and can never touch, and the fact that Chuck never saw her murderer, so they're constantly trying to figure out "who done it".

Anyone who is even the least bit interested in basketball is aware that this is a monumental time. It's what every basketball fan in the country has been waiting for, for nearly 3 years, and it's finally here. Lebron James is now a free agent.

Major NBA teams like the Knicks, Heat, Bulls, Clippers, Nets, and of course James current [and maybe former] team the Cavaliers, are all trying to convince James that their franchise is the franchise for him.

Each of these teams have had their time to speak with Lebron, to make their propositions and plead their cases. There's nothing left to do but wait. That's exactly what every basketball fan in the country will be doing for the next few days; waiting and hoping "The King" chooses their team.

I'm seriously in love with everyone Kim dates. She's currently dating Dallas Cowboys [yup another football player] wide receiver Miles Austin. They were seen out and about a few nights ago.

I hope this lasts they're kinda cute together, although I'm still getting over her breakup with Reggie.

Ok so today's post is on Rich Hil. I've been listening to him for a while, I love his song Trippy which features my fave rapper Kid Cudi. So I've been aware of his music. But recently I heard a song of his [Overseas With It] which made me realize that I could really get into him. So I downloaded his mixtape [he has quite a few] and started to listen to them. I'm not saying he's the best rapper in the world, because he's not, I just really like his music, and I like the way he phrases certain things. Rich Hil is a decent rapper and he's kinda cute, and that's more than enough reason for me lol.

don't hate my life!

hello all!! so if you're an avid follower you may have noticed that i skipped tv tuesday, and ignored wednesday. i'm so sorry! tv tuesday is going to be hard for me because I really don't watch too many tv shows. I pretty much just watch music videos. But last night I put out the effort and so here's a belated tv post...let's call it T.V. Thursday. Mmmm creative right? lolol


DEXTER



So I watched Dexter for the first time ever last night, and i must say Dexter is a very messed up show lolol
So the main character Dexter is a forensic scientist/serial killer. So basically he works these cases and he goes after and kills all the serial killers, but in doing that he IS a serial killer. See how this works? So throughout the show he's talking about how he's ridding the world of scum etc., but the viewer is thinking to themself "HELLOOOOO!! YOU'RE A KILLER!!"

Anywho in this episode Dexter finds out that his girlfriend (who used to be married and has 2 kids from the previous relationship) is pregnant with his child. He doesn't know if he can be a father because of what he does. I'm not going to say anymore but if you're interested there seems to be a summer long Dexter marathon on Showtime. So check it out. :D
